A Safe and Progressive Jail

Jose is working closely with the County Board, community leaders, volunteers, and criminal justice advocates to implement new programs to focus on safety, improve medical care, and increase family support. Jose looks forward to bringing back the robust community programs led by volunteers that existed before the COVID-19 pandemic and fight to keep families connected.

A Safe and Inclusive Community

Jose prioritizes the Sheriff’s Office being proactively supportive of community events and initiatives. He will fight to bring in the best resources and training for his staff to focus on diversity, equity and inclusion. Whether serving a warrant, protecting the courthouse, responding to mental health crises, or backing up the police department in times of emergency, Jose is committed to professional, respectful interactions with Arlingtonians.
